Every rug on this site starts the same way, on a wooden loom, in the hands of one of the 30 to 40 artisan weavers we work with across Jaipur. There is no factory line here and no printed pattern. Each color block is built into the weave itself, which is why two rugs of the same design are never perfectly identical, and why a kilim rug can be flipped and used on either side.
This is also why it takes real time. A single rug can take several days on the loom before it is finished, dried, and prepared for shipping. We think that time is what makes it worth having in your home in the first place.
